How to Buy and Store Bulk Dry Goods (Without Having a Flour Blizzard in Your Kitchen), in Pictures

("FOOD SAFE" BUCKET)

Airtight, unscrewable, double gasket lid

Curious and perpetually hungry dachshund

25 pounds of flour at bulk price

Pouring flour from bag into bucket= fun for toddlers, but not recommended
                                                Place bucket over flour bag
Turn them over, so that flour bag is on top
                                                        Lift bag out

                                                 Label food storage bucket
Snap on airtight lid
Unscrew inner lid to use dry goods.

  1. This is a great idea! When I have a bigger family...and when I have more storage space...I will definitely keep this in mind. :)

  3. That container is soooo much nicer than what I am currently using. Did you pick it up at a farm supply store? Thanks for linking up! I'll be back to see if you have a Sunday link-up this week so I can join in!

    1. We actually bought it at the Home Depot, but when we returned for more, we found that the Gamma Seal Lids were a "special buy" and were no longer available there. They are available through Amazon though;(I have a link at the bottom of the post). Home Depot does carry the buckets still.
