The Hand That Rocks Tomorrow's Cradle

 August Muller(1836–1885) PD-ART
We're pretty fond of young people around here. We believe that faithful, God-honoring young people are the hope for this country. I've done my share of posting about young men that give us hope. It is young women, though, who become mothers.  It is mothers who shape the next generation. In that vein, it seems appropriate to share some young women as well.

As I browsed the activity on the Liturgical Time Veil shop page today, I ran across Whole Heart Designs, which is the shop of a young woman who seems to exhibit the industriousness and home-focus that we value. I don't know her from Adam, but the Spirit touched me, and when the Spirit touches me, I am inclined to listen. As I browsed her shop, another young woman with similar values came to mind. Her shop, Taylor Made Handcrafts, is lovely as well.

Also of note is The You are Loved Campaign which is the brainchild of Bianca Wohleking and speaks beautifully to the dignity of women. The Campaign's website has recently added a men's section which is edited by Spencer Pruett and promises to be a blessing to our young men. Their Facebook page is here.

New Year's Eve seems to be the perfect time to highlight the activities of a few of young women who will be raising tomorrow's children. Stop by and visit the shops and blogs of these young women, and while you're there, say a prayer for our future mothers. Let us pray that the Judeo-Christian tradition of our forefathers will live on in the hearts of our young ones. It is through them that we glean hope for our nation and for our children's children.

Pax Christi dear ones,
May you be filled with hope and joy for the New Year,
~Michelle
